2008: Creates his first sculptures in stone with stone carver Slavoljub Marjonivic, Deauville, Quebec.
2001: Establishes kiln cast glass studio "David James Glass / Verre d`art" in Montreal, Quebec. Moves studio to Sutton, Quebec in mid-2004.
1994 -1997: England. Kiln cast glass workshops, Colin Reid, Stroud.
1995: Sweden. Glass blowing, cold work. The National School of Glass, Orrefors.
1994: Germany. Bild-Werk International Summer Academy - Introduction to hot and cold glass, Frauenau.
